Central Luxor is located on the "Eastbank" and is approx.
600 km from Cairo. Just North of Luxor is one of the most impressive temple complexes in the world "Carnak".
The "Westbank" region of the Nile, also know as "Thebes West", is mainly agrarian and consists of many villages.
The airport is located about 8 km East of Luxor.

The best time to visit Egypt is in the Winter.

Egypt has a warm dry climate, which is dominated by warm dry Sahara n winds. This warm dry climate is responsible for the superb conservation of many historic buildings and artifacts. The daily high in Winter is between 25C - 28C. Nights are much cooler and average 10C - 15C. In Summer highs can reach over 40C, thanks to the low humidity even these temperatures be bearable, making Summer vacations possible.
