The El Gezira Hotel was built in 1996 and is a family operated business. This quaint hotel consists of 11 air conditioned double rooms,
a restaurant, a lake front terrace, a lovely roof garden with a fabulous view of the Nile and Luxor. Our hotel is located near the village of Geziret-el-Beirat on an old branch of the Nile. You will be able to easily access the sights of Luxor and experience life in a traditional Egyptian village.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Gamal Ahmed Mahmood Hassan. I along with my German born wife Britta go to great lengths to make sure our guests enjoy their stay. We strive to create a comfortable family like atmosphere. We attend to all of the personal and touristic need of our guests..

El Gezira's great location, on the "Westbank", makes it easy to reach all of the historic tombs, temples and ruins by taxi, collective taxi or bicycle.
The museums, temples and central Luxor on the "Eastbank" are easily accessed by ferry or motorboat, both are quick and inexpensive. The walk from the hotel to the bank of the Nile is only 3 min. The city of Luxor has a wide array of restaurants, discos, bazars and modern retail stores for your shopping and entertainment pleasure.
